Tips and Tricks on How to Adapt Your Workouts to Suit Your Fitness Level
In this video I breakdown both the Intermediate and Advanced workout programs while providing some helpful tips that anyone can use to adjust their workouts to match their level of fitness.
A noticeable difference between the Beginner and Intermediate workouts is now you will be working out 3 times per week instead of 2 times per week. Some of you may think the workouts are still too easy, however, these workouts can prove to be very difficult by making a few changes to the exercises or the number of repetitions.
Designed with the individual user in mind, these workouts are very flexible, allowing for exercises to be substituted in and out so you can alter the level of difficulty. For example, if a particular superset is calling for a regular push-up and you want more of a challenge, simply sub in a close-grip push-up or decline push-up.
Also note that you can always increase the number of repetitions to increase the difficulty as well. Intermediate workouts should not be easy, and if you find that they are, then you just aren't using the correct resistance or level of intensity and so should make the proper adjustments.
If you are training at home, then be sure to always go one rep short of failure. This is just a precautionary safety measure so as to avoid injury.
Six-pack abs, everybody wants them, but they don't want to put in the hundreds of thousands of sit-ups to get them. Fortunately for you and your back, you won't find any sit-ups or crunches in the Turbulence Training workouts. Crunches just aren't necessary and typically lead to lower back problems.

One other tip before we go, if a workout ever calls for chin-ups, pull-ups, or inverted rows, you can always substitute a dumbbell alternative in place, such as a dumbbell pullover in place of a pull-up.
